About: Wonder kid.

I like to get up early but not on Mondays. I think the saddest week of the night is one on Sunday. Anyways the whole issue is there are a very few people willing to get through the grind first thing on the first day week. Especially if one had a long journey from home back to home. Dont be confused it is something other than from traversing from one room to another, I am talking cities here ... anways ...

The journey was tiring but then it is about how the world is small and things happen in weird ways.

One in billion.

One thing is for sure, millions dont count anymore here. I was travelling back from Mumbai to surat on "Flying Queen". My parents were sitting bang in front of a sitting compartment, a little 6 year old kid came to my father (I was a few rows back) my father just causal asked if he could recite some poem, a prompt reply came "Nah! I play the tabla" great my father said and just asked him to play something on the small foldable table, he then passed his briefcase and asked to play "Ek taal" he played it he asked to play a few things he did it with Panache of a pro. My mother enjoyed every bit. After half an hour or so he came back and gave him his "Visitng Card" which read his name and proclaimed him to be a limca book of records holder for being the youngest tabla player. The little kid was with his mother and granfather and was returning on his way back to Amritsar with a brief halt at Surat.

My father got in touch with his grandfather and he proudly showed us a small signature note book with words inscribed by the master Zakhir Hussain. Man at that time the littl kid was all over and runing around like a little kid. A program was organised last evening and lets just say he played like a total pro with no inhibition what so ever.

Meabwhile Surat is being blessed by some great foggy mornings and it is awesome. I will post some snaps of the little kid and some snaps which I took in the morning the next time.

Hi, Tarun, nice story! Let me tell you that your name appeared in the article written about my blog, published on our most important newspaper on 1/28. It's in Spanish, of course. The article ends talking about my post "My perfect day in PV" (on which I mentioned a shop called Varanasi) and a comment written by Tarun from India: Varanasi ... a Hindu place of prilgrim, the "holy" city for us on the bank of Ganges, weird to hear about a "Varanasi" across the seven seas." So you are in the local media here!
